Guide

Getting started with StockSense

From installation to the first order. Most things need no setup at all; the rest takes a few minutes.

1. Installation

  1. Open StockSense in Shoptet Add-ons and click Activate.
  2. Confirm the permissions. StockSense needs to read products, stock levels and orders.

All you need is a Shoptet e-shop and administrator access. The first 30 days are free, then CZK 250 a month excl. VAT (pricing).

StockSense only reads data. It never changes products, stock or orders in your e-shop.

2. Opening the app

In the Shoptet admin go to Add-ons → StockSense. On first open the app verifies itself through Shoptet. After that you can also open it directly at stocksense.adsoptiq.com/app in the same browser.

3. First data load

On first open the app loads products, stock per warehouse, orders and stock movements. A smaller e-shop takes a few minutes, a large catalogue longer. After that the data refreshes every night at 3:00, changes only. During the day you can refresh it with the Refresh data button.

Sales velocity is calculated from stock movements, so it includes in-store sales. Until enough movement history has been collected, orders are used.

4. What now?

The panel at the top is the morning to-do list: what is sold out, what runs out within 7 days, within 14 and within 30 days. Click any number to open the matching list. All tabs are described on the Features page.

5. Suppliers and lead times

In the Restock recommendations tab the default lead time is 14 days and safety stock 7 days. For each supplier you can set:

  • Lead time: in how many days the goods arrive.
  • Cycle: when the supplier delivers on a schedule (say every 14 days), the order has to last until the next delivery.
  • Target stock: how many weeks of sales you want in stock on delivery.
  • Multiple: ordering by the carton or pallet; quantities are rounded up.
  • Spiky: instead of the average, the 80th percentile of weekly sales over 12 weeks is used. Useful for goods with occasional large orders.

The settings are stored with the e-shop and also apply in Favourites. StockSense takes the supplier from the product card in Shoptet.

6. Goods on the way and per-product multiples

In the Already ordered (on the way) section paste rows in the form code;qty;date, for example copied from Excel. The date is optional. The quantity on the way is subtracted from the recommended order. When the goods arrive, click Received.

Pack multiples for individual products are pasted as code;pcs per pallet. They take precedence over the supplier's multiple.

7. Favourites

In the Favourites tab click Edit list and paste product codes or EANs, one per line. For each you will see sales, stock per warehouse, the forecast and the recommended quantity. The list is visible to everyone who opens StockSense in the e-shop.

8. Purchase prices and margins

Stock value and margins are calculated from the purchase prices in Shoptet. It does not matter whether you enter them with or without VAT. If you do not fill in purchase prices, enter an average margin in Settings. StockSense uses it to estimate the purchase price for products where it is missing.

9. Excel export

Download any table with the Export to Excel button exactly as you have it filtered and sorted. In Restock recommendations filter one supplier and you have a finished order.

10. Language, news, feedback

  • Switch the language (CZ / SK / HU / EN) in the top bar. The default is the e-shop's language.
  • What is new is shown by the What's new bell in the app and on the What's new page.
  • Send us a bug or an idea with the Feedback button, or at info@wipora.cz.

11. Uninstalling

Uninstall StockSense at any time in the Shoptet admin under Add-ons. Access to your e-shop data ends immediately and we delete the stored data according to the privacy policy.
